May 16, 2018 Firm News

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this May, we’d like to introduce you to the lawyers who make up our team.

We started as a firm of two lawyers, Keith and John, in 2008. We have been thrilled to add two additional attorneys to our team who have helped us grow and better serve clients throughout the Front Range. The four of us have committed to providing hands-on, personal service to each client who comes through our door.

Meet our attorneys:

Keith Fuicelli – Partner

Keith partnered with John Lee to form Fuicelli & Lee, in 2008 after experiencing first-hand the lack of personal attention large law firms provide their clients. In too many cases, this lack of attention leads to mediocre results.

Before forming the firm, Keith worked as an attorney with one of the largest personal injury firms and one of the largest insurance defense firms in Colorado. Prior to that, he worked as a District Attorney in Jefferson County, Colorado, eventually working in the Crimes Against Children Unit.

Keith has litigated a wide range of criminal and civil matters. He has conducted more than seventy five trials, argued before the Court of Appeals multiple times, and conducted numerous evidentiary hearings. He also brings a unique perspective to handling personal injury matters. In May of 2007 he was hit by a car while jogging and spent nearly two months in the hospital.

John Lee – Partner

Having conducted close to a hundred trials and handled thousands of cases as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, John’s extensive experience is a true asset to the firm. John Lee partnered with Keith Fuicelli to form Fuicelli & Lee after spending close to a decade working as a prosecutor.

John spent approximately seven years in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office, quickly rising through the ranks and prosecuting the most serious cases including first-degree murder. He was then selected to join an elite group of prosecutors at the Attorney General’s office. There, John handled complex criminal matters including organized crime, racketeering, fraud, tax evasion and white-collar crimes. His extensive prosecutorial experience includes misdemeanor matters like driving under the influence and assault through the most serious of cases.

Since partnering with Keith to form Fuicelli & Lee, John has handled hundreds of cases ranging from DUI to homicide. His experience and credibility with both prosecutors and judges has helped him achieve outstanding results for his clients.

Jess Cash – Partner

Jessica “Jess” Cash enthusiastically joined the team of Fuicelli & Lee as an Associate Attorney in November 2011. She was promoted to partner in February 2018. Jess assists clients in the Denver office and leads the staff of the Longmont office.

Prior to joining Fuicelli & Lee, Jess worked for six years as deputy district attorney for Jefferson County, Colorado. During her six years as a prosecutor, she took more than 50 cases to trial.

Cash has first-hand experience with the stress and confusion that can accompany unexpected medical issues, which gives her a unique perspective when working on personal injury cases. Her son, now 14, was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder as a toddler. As a result, her family has navigated the often-confusing world of diagnosis, treatment and medical insurance issues. Thanks to early interventions and therapies, her son is doing well today.

In addition, her mom passed away suddenly at the age of 50, so she feels strong empathy with clients who have experienced the sudden loss of a loved one in an accident or wrongful death case.

Amanda Francis – Associate

Amanda Francis joined the team at Fuicelli & Lee as an associate attorney in October 2014. She is thrilled to work at a firm where every case is treated with personal attention and service. By nature, Amanda is a kind, sincere, empathetic advocate, who is drawn to helping others in their time of need. She is a committed trial attorney, dedicated to developing cases and her craft through hard work, strategy and education.

Her work experience includes bench trials, jury trials, direct appeals and post-conviction petitions.

Amanda received her law degree from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she graduated in the top 15 percent of her class. During law school, she served as captain of the National Moot Court Trial Team, clerked for civil judges, tried felony cases in the Cook County Public Defender’s office and worked at the Center for Justice in Capital Cases.  She graduated cum laude with a certificate in public interest law and received the Dean’s Certificate of Pro Bono Service.
